Corfu

This island has something to please every type of traveller!

€854 pp

Description

Corfu, an island off Greece’s northwest coast in the Ionian Sea, is defined by rugged mountains and a resort-studded shoreline. It is known as Greece's emerald island because it is one of the greenest islands in Greece.

Corfu’s resorts span from family-friendly to traditional. There are plenty of lively seaside towns for action-packed family holidays. Aghios Ioannis, in the south, lines up a waterpark, while the sand-facing strip in northerly Sidari buzzes with bars and restaurants. But their karaoke bars and pubs are no match for Kavos, the island’s party capital. In the middle, meanwhile, Corfu Town boasts history in spades.

Itinerary

Aqualand Resort and Waterpark – All inclusive (breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks)
The Aqualand Resort is home to one of Corfu’s biggest waterparks, meaning you’ve got unlimited access to 49 slides and a massive wave pool.
Everything here revolves around the waterpark. It stretches out for over 75,000 square metres and boasts the world’s third-biggest wave pool. Its other highlights include a lazy river, a pirate-themed splash park and a spa.
There’s plenty for foodies to enjoy here, too. The main restaurant’s an international buffet number that offers things like homemade pizza, and there’s another themed eatery in the waterpark. Elsewhere, an ice-cream parlour and three bars – including a rooftop option – serve snacks and cocktails throughout the day.
Just so you know, the waterpark is fully open from mid May to end of September. In early May the park is partially open, and not all of the slides are in operation. The following rides that are open during this period are:
The Extreme Tower with six slides (including the Family rafting 180m for over 8+ year olds and Deep blue kayak for over 8+ year olds
Baby pool for ages 0-8 years old
Bump racers for ages 8+ years old
Tornado for ages 8+ years old
Catapult for over 8+ years old
Free fall 24m high for ages 12+ years old
There are some age restrictions to be aware of for the slides, too. The larger free fall slides have a minimum age restriction of 12 years, while some other rides have a minimum age restriction of 4 years, and some of 8 years. The pirate-themed mini slides have a minimum age restriction of 4 years.
Mobility information - This accommodation doesn't have any lifts within the complex. The only access to the entertainment area is by stairs. There are only a few apartments on the ground floor but they are not suitable for wheelchair access. The larger apartments are on the upper floors but only have access via stairs.
